Accessibility

Date: This statement was created on 25 July 2024 using the W3C Accessibility Statement Generator Tool.

We want to make our services and material as accessible as possible for everyone. We are working towards this goal.

Please contact us, here if you:

  • need our material in a different format;

  • experience problems accessing our material;

  • would like to comment on the accessibility of our website.

Conformance status:

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. I-RAP Website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

Additional accessibility considerations:

Although our goal is WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance, a group of clinicians, academics, and members of our lived experience panel have examined the website to ensure it is compliant with the needs of neurodivergent individuals. We have also applied principles from various academic studies on accessibility to better meet the needs of neurodivergent individuals, primarily those with autism. This approach ensures that our platform is not only compliant with recognized accessibility standards but also incorporates insights from research to address specific challenges faced by neurodivergent users. By integrating these findings, we aim to create a more inclusive and supportive environment that enhances usability and accessibility for all individuals, regardless of their cognitive and sensory differences.
